I became a fan of Annabelle McMormack after reading ๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐“๐ข๐ฆ๐ž. I was so happy to be back in the small town of Brandywood again, with the places and few familiar faces too.

This story is steeped in lies and deception, as it unravels the Cavanaugh familyโ€™s story. Jason Cavanaugh travels to Brandywood to try to stop a private investigator from discovering that his late brother, Kevin, had a child.

The reason involves multi-millions of dollars and very greedy, mean-spirited family members. The problem is the mother of his nephew is gorgeous, and smart and Jason canโ€™t help but fall for her.

While itโ€™s true that Jason goes about this all the wrong way, not coming clean with the truth to Jen right away, I couldnโ€™t help but melt when I learned his backstory. And really, he wasnโ€™t the only one withholding information!

The story is so much more than a steamy romance. It discusses dealing with family trauma, carrying around grief, and opening to forgiveness – and thereโ€™s a fun subplot about baking.

While this is a Brandywood Series, it can easily be read alone. Iโ€™m glad to see there will be another book coming very soon!

Thank you @suzyapprovedbooktours and @annabellemccormack for a spot on tour and a gifted copy.
