Thank you @harpercollins @harlequinbooks and @htpbooks for a spot on tour and a fabulous gifted book package. (Check out my story Promo Highlights).

The title may be ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐’๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐œ๐ญ, but I found this to be about two sets of siblings, and I loved it!

Finley is raising her niece Aubrey while her sister Sloane tries to get sober. But Finley is struggling with forgiveness, and itโ€™s easy to see why. A childhood of abandonment and her sisterโ€™s destruction of Finleyโ€™s livelihood has left her working hard and protecting her heart.

Jericho had a good life, running his own real-estate business, and a loving wifeโ€ฆ until his brother slept with her. And it gets worse from there. Now his family expects him to forgive them, so the two can be happy together; how does that work?

This may be one of my favorites, if not my favorite book of Susan Malleryโ€™s. When Finley and Jericho meet on a job site, I love their interaction; they compare how cruddy their lives are – but the humor is great! The dialogue throughout feels natural, where you can feel the emotions of anger, guilt, and love. While Sloane deals with the demon of alcoholism, Finley and Jericho are left to pick up the pieces from the mess their siblings left in their lives, and they lean into each other.
